COVID-19 Class Policies

We are SO EXCITED to have you back! During to the current status of things, there are a number of policies and procedures that have changed and we are currently adhering to. Below is Docksiders Gymnastics new policies during our re-opening. Policies may be adapted as is needed or as senior management sees fit. We ask that you review these procedures with your child prior to coming to the gym.

No one will be permitted in our facility if they have been diagnosed with COVID-19 (have not recovered or are still within the quarantine period), had symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 24 hours, or had contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the quarantine period.

  • No sick gymnast, staff, or parent may enter the gym. Per CDC guidelines, must be free from fever for at least 48 hours.

  • Upon first day back, gymnasts and parents will be required to sign a statement that :

    • I know at this time I have not been diagnosed with COVID-19

    • I am not currently recovering from COVID-19

    • I am not still within a required 14-day quarantine

    • I have not had symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 24-hours

    • I have not had close contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19 within the last 14 days as per the CDC guidelines

    • Should any situation arise in which the answers to any of these questions change, the gym must be notified immediately.

  • Gymnasts will be spaced out throughout the gym to allow for proper social distancing. .

  • NEW REGULATIONS AS OF 7/1/21 - Because of the new Maryland Mask requirement regulations, mask use is no longer required within the gym. Masks will be allowed to be worn by anyone who would like to wear one.

  • The gym water fountain is closed. Gymnasts must bring their own water bottle that is properly marked to avoid confusion as to whose water bottle it is. Sharing of water bottles is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. All unmarked bottles will be thrown away

  • After each class and practice, coaches will be required to clean and sanitize each piece of equipment used in the gym prior to the beginning of the next group.

  • If parents wish to meet with coaches, it is asked that you set up an email, phone, or Zoom meeting by requesting as such with the office. Coaches will be required to clean the gym after each practice and will not have time to talk immediately after practices.
